Every year, we get to celebrate my Daddy’s birthday while we’re also celebrating Independence Day (his birthday is on the 6th)… Here are some pictures from the weekend:
It's not a Clapp birthday without banana cake! Unless it's my birthday, because I don't like icing. We celebrated on the night of the 3rd by going to Cattleman's in Clanton then coming home for cake and Candi's homemade peach ice cream! Mmmmm...
Mama and Candi watching the Independence Day pontoon boat parade (the ski boat parade was later in the day, but I didn't pull out my camera for that one).
Sarah watched the parade from the kayak. I bet her arms were TIRED that night!
Wynn watched from the water...
Daddy and Chase watched from the shade.
Wynn being slightly unhappy that he had to get out of the water for more sunscreen. I think this pictures shows how much he and Sarah look alike.
Sarah...she'll be EIGHT next month!
Wynn is ready to go tubin' for the first time!
I love this picture! Sarah is obviously giving Wynn a pep talk...she'd never been before, either, but they both took turns and did very well.
Ed & Wynn...Wynn isn't quite heavy enough to ride yet; Ed had to hold him in by his pants! He can ride with Sarah if it's pulled by the pontoon boat (slowly), though.
Ed & Sarah ready to ride! Ed actually fell out when the tube hit a wave...Sarah stayed in! She got a little freaked out and jumped in after him, though, when she saw she was in there by herself.
Candi getting a recap of Sarah's ride.
Ed, Wynn & Sarah riding back to the house...these trips were with the ski boat, but the next day we took it out on the patio boat and it was a little easier for them. They're just so small...they don't weigh enough to stay in the raft!
Sarah & Chase...we were able to coax the dog into a couple inches of water, but then he caught on and didn't want anything to do with us. We poured water on him to cool him off, though.
